Strengthening science policy and scientific advice to policy-making

Science policy: Today more than ever, science and technology (S&T) have an important role to play for the economic development of our societies and the well-being of their citizens. They enable us to better understand the world around us, to be conscious of our responsibilities and to find answers to today’s global challenges. To secure the future of our societies, it is crucial to anchor science, technology and innovation into the broader frameworks of national, European and international policy-making and governance structures.

Scientific advice to policy: Independent, well-structured, timely and well-targeted scientific advice, bringing together evidence and insights from various disciplines, will ultimately improve the quality of policy making. I support you in identifying the right approach to make your high-quality scientific advice matter. I act as knowledge broker and also help you to strengthen the dialogue and exchange between academia, policy-makers and a multitude of other relevant stakeholders, such as citizens, foundations, think tanks, NGOs, business or the media.
